Rowe Lane Roadway Improvement
City of Pflugerville
Reconstruction and safety improvements to an existing roadway
The City of Pflugerville contracted DCS to provide reconstruction and safety improvements for an existing 1.5 mile long, two-lane arterial collector roadway, widening the roadway by 8 ft and replacing or adjusting the existing culvert structures.
DCS identified existing utilities in the area, compiled an active Utility Conflict List, and maintained it to minimize any adjustments that might affect construction. The firm then coordinated with utility companies on behalf of the City to resolve any conflicts. The project scope also included topographic survey, geotechnical investigation, environmental assessment and clearances, hydraulics and hydrology, permitting with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and Right of Way (ROW)/easement acquisition. DCS’s scope for this project was completed early and under-budget.
