The City of Buda Sportsplex construction is steadily advancing. Buda Mayor, Council Members, and Parks & Recreation Director toured the construction site along with DCS’s Darren Strozewski, Wiley Webb, Tommy McDougal, Cori Marks and Patricio Galindo.
The pictures show progress on the new ball fields, and where workers have been installing irrigation, and structural steel for the concession stand and batting cages.
When complete, the expanded Sportsplex will include:
- 4 new softball fields
- Improvements to existing fields
- A new concession stand
- Batting cages
- 800+ additional parking spaces
Expanding the Sportsplex will create more recreation opportunities while helping to grow sports tourism in the city. The project’s expected completion date is the beginning of fall.
