Design and Construction Services for an industrial development in the City of Pflugerville

DCS was contracted to provide design and construction services for the public improvements associated with development of a new Amazon Fulfillment Center in the City of Pflugerville, including paving, drainage, water, wastewater, lighting, and traffic signal improvements for E. Pfennig Lane and E. Pecan Street.

The project incorporated approximately 2,500 Linear Feet (LF) of Reinforced Concrete Pipe (RCP) storm sewer pipe, ultimately integrating with private detention ponds under outside development. As part of this project, DCS designed a cost-effective solution to address a preexisting flooding issue. The area of concern is relatively flat with many conflicting utilities, which presented a challenge to the construction of a new storm sewer. DCS addressed these challenges by installing a grate inlet and a 36” RCP storm sewer, redirecting the storm water approximately 500 LF to the west where it drains into an existing box culvert under Pecan St.
