Mountain Creek Trail

Mountain Creek Trail was planned and engineered by DCS to connect two parks in Pflugerville, providing greater pedestrian access in the neighborhood. Funded by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, the project included 2,000 Linear Feet (LF) of 10 ft wide granite trail and 360 LF of sidewalk. Following AASHTO guidelines, the firm developed a traffic control plan and registered with TDLR for areas where the construction equipment entered and exited the roadway.

During construction, the team encountered a running slope along an existing fence line that was not in accordance with ADA regulations, and solved the issue by working with the contractor and City staff to develop a solution that satisfied the homeowner and the City.
