Roadway Improvement and Construction Managment

Seefried Development Management

Engineering, design, and construction services for a roadway development project in the City of Pflugerville.

As the City of Pflugerville expands eastward into undeveloped areas near TX-130, they contracted with DCS to prepare plans for public improvements, including paving, drainage, water, wastewater, lighting, and traffic signal improvements on E. Pfennig Lane and E. Pecan Street. The firm also prepared preliminary site-civil test-fits for three sites to build an Amazon Fulfillment Center, complete with site, roadway, and public utility layout, as well as a provisional plan for the future extension of E. Pfennig Lane.

E. Pfennig Lane required extensive roadway, easement, and traffic control upgrades, including two new signaled intersections. E. Pecan Street development included the installation of concrete sidewalk, three new deceleration lanes, pavement mill and overlay, median and Right of Way (ROW) modifications, and storm sewer line modifications to mitigate existing flooding concerns. DCS also coordinated the acquisition of ROWs at E. Pfennig Lane and the expansion of the existing E. Pecan Street ROW.

DCS managed the construction administration of the adjacent Amazon Fulfillment Center, coordinating with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), the City of Pflugerville, and other engineers to complete the work on an accelerated schedule.
