Weiss Lane Roadway Extension

Engineering Services for a roadway extension in Pflugerville, Texas

Over the last decade, the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC) has worked diligently to transform the City of Pflugerville from a bedroom community into a regional employment center, attracting commercial and industrial businesses to the area while maintaining an affordable housing market.

During the site selection process for a large client, PCDC agreed to provide $3.8M for off-site road infrastructure improvements, including an extension of Weiss Lane South to Cameron Road. DCS was retained to provide preliminary design services during this process, creating a precise geometric layout that included the location of surrounding municipal utilities. During the design process, DCS coordinated with the City to research current and future road improvements near the proposed site and created several road geometric layouts, with input from all stakeholders. Ultimately, the client chose another tract of land and this extension was never completed.
